Inkjet Printer

Inkjet Printer: 

It is another type of non-impact printers. It also from images with little dots. It has a number of noggles. It sprays small electrically charged droplets of ink from the noggles through holes in a matrix at high speed on the paper. The charge ink droplets travel at speed of up to 10miles per hour as they move between a set of plates that deflect the droplets. A stream of more than 100,000 droplets can from approximately 200 characters per second.

Laser Printer: Working principles, Advantage and Disadvantage

Laser Printer: 

It was the principle of dot matrix printer of creating image with dots. However, these images are created on a drum, treated with a magnetically charged ink like tonner and then transfer form drum to paper.

Working principles of Laser Printer: 

A small laser beam is forced off mirror many times per second onto a positively charged drum.

Drum Printer

Drum Printer: 

A drum printer consists mainly of a cylinder drum. The characters to be printed are embossed on the surface. A character is printed by the striking of the appropriate hammer against the embossed character on the surface. A carbon ribbon and paper are interposed between the hammer and the drum.

Dot Matrix Printer

Dot Matrix Printer: 

In case of dot matrix printer the printing head makes a physical impact on the paper. Here a set of middles remain arranged in a matrix form in the printing head through wile ink poured up on the paper. While a character is needed to be so that it takes the shape of desired.

Daisy Wheel Printer

Daisy Wheel Printer: 

A daisy wheel printer has removable print wheel consisting of spokes. Each spokes ends with a raised character. The wheel turns to align the desired latter with the next printing position and a hammer strikes the spoke end to print that character.

Impact printer: 

The type of printer whose printing head touches the surface of the paper during the printing process is called impact printer. It forms characters or images by striking a mechanism such as print hammer for while against the surface and inked ribbon and images on the paper.

  • Character Printer: 

In a character printer, characters are printed one after the others. Only one character can be printed at a time. The character printer is also known as serial printer.

In a line printer, many character of a line are printed at a time. To the user, the line printer appears to print a complete line of character is one shot.

Speaker:
