Data: The word “Data” is the plural of “Datum”. Data is the raw material on which a computer operates.
Some feature/characteristics of data are:
- The term data is used to describe raw facts (not yet processed) about something.
- Data is used as input for the data processing system.
- It is not organized or structured.
- It is useless, because without processing, data shows no meaning.
